Making sales count and building team – July round-up
So much for a quiet summer.
Whilst the sun has been shining outside things have been busy inside Form’s HQ at the heart of Liverpool’s creative quarter in the Baltic Triangle.
Amidst a flurry of delivery for different clients, we also wrote a couple of blogs for different partner organisations. One was for Tech North, aimed at helping tech startup founders think through what to do in building their team to avoid “writing a hiring horror story“. You don’t need to be creating the next Uber to find it valuable so feel free to have a read by clicking here.
Another article the Liverpool Growth Hub asked us to write focused on how to really make your sales efforts really count by making small shifts in how you articulate what your company does. (Spoiler alert: it’s all about putting your customer first, unsurprisingly!). Get your tips and start making your sales more effective by clicking here.
We had a great day delivering the first Liverpool session for Tech North’s Founders Network. In alight and airy space at FACT Liverpool a bunch of founders gathered to think through how to properly define their business needs to guide the shape of their ideal team. After that we ran through what it looks like to build a recruitment and hiring strategy to get those ideal people into their organisation. To round things off, we had the chance to interview one of our friends, Tom Darlow who was kind enough to share some of his startup stories from getting fintech company, Fruitful off the ground. Much gold shared!
We’re running similar sessions in Newcastle and Leeds over the coming months. If you’d like to attend and become part of a cohort accessing free, accelerator style coaching around Sales, Legals, Team, Leadership and lots of other fun stuff to do with start-ups then have a look at the Founders Network page on Tech North’s website.
Thankfully we followed our own advice by bringing in a fantastic new team member with Jon Minchin joining this month as our Development Manager. Jon brings with him a creative edge and a wealth of experience from product giant – Unilever, and has some brilliant stories of helping to craft some of the worlds biggest brands such as Magnum!
He’ll be taking a lead on making what we do much more beautiful and much more organised. More from him soon.
We’re starting to get our content engine properly revving for the Autumn so if there’s anything you’d like us to cover specifically in the next few months then do let us know in the comments or drop us a line at hello@weareform.com.
