B Corp challenged us to rethink how Form is led
We’re proud to share our latest B Corp Impact Report, but this is not just a story about a score. It is also a story about growth and change.
We’re proud to share our latest B Corp Impact Report, but this is not just a story about a score. It is also a story about growth and change.
Growth asks different questions of a business: not just how you serve clients, but how you lead, make decisions and build something that lasts. Over the past year, we have been asking those questions of ourselves.
Form first became a certified B Corp in 2022 with a score of 100.3. Following our reassessment in 2025, that increased to 115.4, above the current median score of 91.
- Our Customers score increased from 15 to 26.7, reflecting stronger client relationships, better feedback and a continued focus on being genuinely useful.
- Our Workers score rose from 31.4 to 35.7 through new healthcare and parental leave policies, further EDI training, and creating an environment where people operate with greater autonomy and less noise.
- Governance increased from 20 to 20.6 and Environment rose from 8.7 to 9.5.
- Community and Environment remain the areas where we have the most work to do, and that is where much of our attention will go next.
We’re pleased with the result, but more interesting to us is what sits behind it.
Like any good assessment, B Corp does more than measure progress. It helps you see where there is still room to develop. For us, that meant reimagining Form’s governance & leadership structure to support the next stage of our growth.
Over the past year, we’ve spent time studying organisations we admire, including Pentagram and Handelsbanken. We’ve challenged our own assumptions, taken inspiration from different models of leadership, and built an approach that reflects the business Form is becoming.
Our mission has not changed, and neither has our team. What has changed is how leadership and responsibility are shared. We have evolved from founder-led to a partnership-led business, with clearer ownership, stronger accountability and leadership shared across our senior leadership team.
Sarah Goulden has been appointed as Managing Partner, leading Form into this next chapter. She brings together our people, clients and strategy, helping the business grow with clarity, purpose and lasting impact.
Alongside Sarah, leadership is shared across the partnership team. Jon Minchin oversees strategy and delivery, Darren Balcombe drives business development, Mark Harland shapes our leadership development work, and Matt Johnson continues as a Partner on the leadership team, focused on building the partnerships that let Form play its part in powering a fairer, stronger UK economy.
We have built this model together over the past year, testing ideas, challenging assumptions and refining how we work until we reached something we all believe in.
Here are three things we learnt along the way
1. Change tests whether your values are real
Values are easy to put on the wall, and harder to live out in practice, especially in periods of change. Ours are lived out by our whole team day to day, and that’s been foundational to how we’ve navigated this year: values that held up when it mattered.
2. Growth should strengthen what already works
Growth pulls you towards the new. The harder question is what needs protecting. Skipping it is how businesses lose the things that made them worth growing in the first place. So we decided what was staying before we changed anything.
3. Change is a discipline, not a decision
Agreeing a change in principle is the easy part. Living it is harder. Culture isn’t built by what you write down, but by what you repeatedly do. The real test of a transition isn’t the announcement. It’s whether the habits actually change.
What’s next
We will continue to publish our B Corp progress honestly, including the areas where we have more work to do.
We will also keep learning, growing and evolving Form while staying true to our core mission: to leave people and places better than we found them.
If you would like to hear more about our B Corp journey, or how we are building Form for its next chapter, we would love to hear from you.
